Booking
Why book direct instead of through Airbnb or VRBO?

Booking directly through Crystal Point skips the platform service fee — usually 14–16% of your total — and that savings stays in your pocket. You also get a real person on the other end of every message, not a ticketing queue.
How far in advance can I book?

Our calendar opens roughly six months out. If you need a date beyond that — common for PCS planning, retirements, or major golf trips — message us and we can usually open a window early.
Is there a minimum stay?
+
Most properties have a 2-night minimum. Some weekends or holiday windows bump to 3 nights. Long stays (7+ nights) and 30+ day stays often qualify for a lower rate — see the Military & Extended Stays section below.
What happens after I book?

You’ll get an immediate confirmation email with your code and a link to your guest portal. The day before arrival, we send detailed check-in instructions — door code, Wi-Fi password, parking, and the direct line for your stay — by both text and email.
Check-in & your stay
What time is check-in and check-out?
+
Standard check-in is 3:00 PM and check-out is 11:00 AM. If you’re arriving on a red-eye, after a long PCS drive, or have an early flight out, message us — we accommodate early check-in and late check-out whenever the schedule allows, free.
How does check-in work? Do I meet someone?

Self check-in with a unique door code. No lockboxes, no meeting in a parking lot, no paperwork. You’ll have the code, the Wi-Fi info, and parking details on your phone before you leave home.
What’s actually in the home when I arrive?
+
Linens, towels, coffee and filters, basic spices, dish soap, laundry detergent, paper towels, toilet paper, hair dryer, iron, and a stocked kitchen. We aim for home-ready, not hotel-ready — you can cook a real meal the night you arrive.
What if something is wrong or breaks during my stay?

Text us. Response time averages under 2 hours and mid-stay issues jump to the top of the queue. We’d rather fix it fast than read about it in a review.
Payments & fees
When am I charged?

Your card is charged in full at booking via Stripe. We don’t do split payments or holds — one charge, fully refundable inside the cancellation window.
Are there cleaning fees or hidden charges?
+
One transparent cleaning fee per stay, shown before you check out. Taxes are calculated based on city/state. No resort fees, no booking fees, no surprise line items.
What’s your cancellation policy?
+
Full refund if you cancel 14+ days before check-in. 50% refund inside 14 days. Within 48 hours of check-in, the stay is non-refundable. Military orders are the exception — see below.
Do you charge a security deposit?

No upfront deposit. We may place a small authorization hold during your stay that releases after check-out.
Military & extended stays
Do you offer military or veteran rates?
+
Yes. Active duty, reservists, National Guard, retirees, and veterans get a discounted rate on stays of 7+ nights. Mention it when you book or message us with your dates and we’ll send the rate directly.
I’m on PCS orders — what if my dates change?
+
PCS orders are why we exist. If your orders shift, your dates shift — we waive cancellation penalties and rebook you when the new orders drop. Just send us a copy of the orders.
Do you take government travel cards or per diem?

Yes. We accept GTCC and can provide an itemized receipt formatted for per diem reimbursement. For TDY stays, we can also bill at the lodging-only per diem rate where applicable.
Can I book an extended stay (30+ nights)?

Absolutely — extended stays get a meaningful nightly discount. We host AIT graduations, school assignments, and contract work all the time. Message us with your dates and we’ll quote it.
Golf groups
Can you handle a golf group?

Yes. Our Sanford, NC property is set up specifically for golf groups headed to Pinehurst — sleeping for groups, full kitchen, ample parking, 12 minutes from Pinehurst Resort. Message us with your group size and tee dates.
Do you arrange tee times or transportation?

We don’t book tee times directly, but we can point you to the courses, the pro shop contacts, and a couple of solid local restaurants for the post-round dinner. Transportation is on you, but parking at the property is easy.
Can we have a guys-weekend / bachelor party?

Adult groups are welcome with reasonable behavior — no loud parties, respect for neighbors, and the home returned in solid shape. We’ve hosted plenty of golf and reunion groups.
Pets, smoking & house rules
Are pets allowed?

Some of our properties are pet-friendly — look for the pet-friendly tag on the listing. There’s a small per-stay pet fee. Service animals are welcome at every property with no extra fee.
Is smoking allowed?
+
No smoking or vaping inside any property. Outdoor smoking is fine away from doors and windows.
Can I host an event or party?
+
No parties or events — these are residential homes in residential neighborhoods. Family gatherings and small dinners are fine as long as overnight guests don’t exceed the listed max occupancy.
What about kids and cribs?
+
Families with kids are very welcome. Several properties have pack-and-plays and high chairs — ask before booking if you need them and we’ll confirm what’s on site.
